The Round Table is an entirely student run publication at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Our mission is to promote greater awareness of global affairs within, but not limited to, the field of commerce; to provide a channel of expression for students in an effort to promote understanding and debate within the context of an increasingly globalized world. This issue initiates coverage on a wide spectrum of countries that fall under emerging markets or countries that are becoming increasingly sophisticated and integrated into international markets. While needless to say there are countless investment opportunities and RoI (return on investment) is generally higher when compared to developed countries (just check out their individual stock indexes), these countries still face countless hurdles in their path to become fully developed markets. This articles offer a preview into some of the challenges and developments within the respective countries in a time period that is crucial to their overall growth story. |
